Jay Krymis, originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, is an embodiment of entrepreneurial triumph. He has over a decade of experience in the business, having opened successful establishments across Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware, and Los Angeles. His journey led him to build trendsetting establishments like "66" Restaurant and Bar, West Hollywood landmark Fubar, Mic’s Bar and Schmitty’s, and Mezcalero locations, culminating in the creation of Booked Talent, an extras casting agency, with his wife, Michel Verdi.

Jay tailored this blog from his love for his craft and his desire to share the wisdom he's accumulated throughout his career. His rich experience in hospitality branding, coupled with his acting skills, brings forward a unique perspective that inspires fellow entrepreneurs and aspiring actors alike. When asked about his drive to start blogging, Jay revealed his keenness to provide understanding and to inspire others by sharing his unique intersection of experiences.

With a generous mix of potent topics, including impactful strategies that have proved vital in the success of his numerous ventures, Jay offers in-depth enrichment in his writing. He loves writing about navigating the world of hospitality, managing and launching new venues, and his personal reflections on maintaining a work-life balance amidst a demanding career.

A long-term goal Jay aims for through this blog is to create a platform that not only helps shed the misconceptions about running a restaurant or bar but also advise fellow entrepreneurs on building genuine, cozy, and fun brands that reflect their authenticity, as his "Mic's Bar" does.

Jay's journey encompasses a fruitful career imbued with recognitions from the City of West Hollywood, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and the California Senate. But beyond the labels and commendations, his work reflects a man rooted in humble beginnings, proud of his Mexican heritage, and committed to serving his community.
